Fabiana Vizzani Reis

About
Artist's statement
Being born and raised in Rome — a city where art, aesthetics, and beauty are absorbed almost by osmosis — has shaped my artistic sensibility from an early age. My classical education in philosophy, ancient Greek, Latin, and art history deepened my understanding of the meaning behind great masterpieces, particularly those inspired by mythology, religion, and the sacred feminine.
In my work, women are divinized — transcending their form to become symbols of creative energy. My paintings are material and three-dimensional, exploring contrast and physical volume to intensify engagement with the viewer.
Vibrant colors and circular forms express the flow of energy through the body, producing a vibration that resonates beyond the canvas. Once complete, the artwork no longer belongs to me — it becomes a space for the audience’s own interpretation. Art finds its true meaning in the gaze of those who contemplate it.
